Tsunami Relief Fund

The Mother School, Payyanur had set up a relief fund to collect contributions as an earnest effort to aid the Tsunami victims. The members of the Management, Staff as well as the students had contributed wholeheartedly towards this noble cause. The fund raised, Rs.27500/- was handed over to Mr.P. Raghavan, A.E.O, Payyanur on Friday, 28th January 2005 at a simple function held in the school at 11.30 a.m by School Manager Mr.Mani Subramanian to be made over to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Trustee members Mr. Mohan Vengail, Mr. C.A.Balachandran, Mr.Balakrishnan Adiyodi, Mr.Suresh Babu.P.P and Headmistress Mrs. Radha M.K. Nair were also attended the function.

Ashokan, D.E.O., Kannur on 28th January 2005, at a simple function at 9.30 a.m. to be made over to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.


REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

The Mother School, Payyanur, proudly celebrated the 56th Republic Day of the Mother land on Wednesday, the 26th of January 2005, at the school campus. The republic day celebration started with a March Past where the chief guest Mr. T.S. Ramachandran, former D.E.O., Kasaragod received the salute. Variety programmes of the students followed there after.


INVESTITURE CEREMONY
Mr. P.K.G. GOSWAMI, Dy. Comdt.C.R.P.F., Peringome has visited The Mother School on 6th August, 2004. He is
invited as the chief guest on Investiture Ceremony conducted at the school. School students, teachers and Mr. Sukumaran Kallath, Chairman of Progressive Education Trust gave a warm reception to the chief guest.
Mr. Goswami closly watched the cultural programmes conducted and the facilities provided at the school.
He commented that The Mother School is one among the standard educational institutions in India that he has visited.

Smiling Competition
10th January 05

In connection with world laughter day, a 'smiling competition' was held in the school campus. The competition was held in two categories and comprised two rounds. All the students participated in the first round whereas just the 'sweet smiled faces' entered the second round.
